During an Emergency

During an Emergency

WUSD utilizes standard language throughout the district for situations that may arise within our schools. More commonly referred to as the Standard Response Protocol (SRP), this is an emergency response plan for any scenario at a WUSD facility. Parents and guardians should become familiar with the SRP, verbiage used, and corresponding actions if an incident occurs at their child’s school.

comprehensive school safety plans

WUSD has an approved Comprehensive School Safety Plan for each of our schools. Each school's plan is reviewed, updated, and audited every year. Key components include protocols for child abuse reporting, disaster preparedness, student entry and exit safety, sexual harassment prevention, school discipline, and other required safety measures. Site safety teams worked closely with local law enforcement, fire departments, and first responders. The Board of Trustees reviews these plans in closed session due to the sensitive nature of the security information.
Anonymous tip reporting

Anonymous tip reporting

WUSD utilizes the WeTip anonymous reporting hotline. Through WeTip, anyone can anonymously report information about bullying, suspicious, criminal, or violent activity, or threats. By giving students, staff, parents, and community members a fast, easy, and anonymous way to report a bully or safety threat, we can stop harmful events before they escalate.

Why is this tool important?

You no longer have to wonder where to report suspicious or threatening activity. WeTip is our web-based solution making it easy for students, staff members, parents, and community members to submit suspicious activity reports or reports of bullying.

Anonymous threat reporting and bully reporting are an integral part of emergency management plans for schools allowing school administrators to keep their students and staff members safe.
